Join the Michigan Organization of Nursing Leadership (MONL) and the American Nurses Association - Michigan (ANA-MI) for an informative Advocacy 101 webinar designed to equip nurses with the skills and knowledge to effectively engage policymakers and influence health policy. Speakers will share insights on how legislation is created and how each of the state’s chambers review proposed legislation. Additionally, this webinar will share ideas for educating Michigan’s state senators and representatives on healthcare issues by using evidence-based research, data and references to effectively advocate for optimal healthcare needs in the state of Michigan.
Learn how to:
1) Attendees will be able to describe current healthcare legislation in Michigan’s 103rd Legislative Session.
2) Attendees will be able to distinguish how resources and research can be used to influence policy.
3) Attendees will be able to identify two strategies for engaging with policymakers.
This two-hour webinar is free and only open to MONL or ANA-MI members, and nursing students.

This educational offering is jointly provided by ANA-Michigan (ANA-MI) and the Michigan Organization of Nurse Leaders (MONL).
