Advocacy 101: Strength in Partnership, Power in Advocacy
Nurses are among the most trusted professionals in healthcare, bringing invaluable expertise and firsthand experience to discussions that shape patient care and health policy. Yet many nurses are unsure of how to engage in the legislative process or advocate effectively for the profession. To help bridge that gap, ANA-Michigan, the Michigan Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), and the Michigan Organization for Nursing Leadership (MONL) are partnering to present a webinar, Advocacy 101: Strength in Partnership, Power in Advocacy on Thursday, September 10th from 8 – 10 a.m.
Participants will gain a better understanding of the legislative process, learn about key healthcare policy issues impacting Michigan, and discover practical strategies for engaging with lawmakers.
By working together across nursing organizations, nurses can amplify their voices and help shape the future of healthcare in Michigan.

Contact Hours: 1.5 Contact Hour will be awarded to attendees who:
- Enter the session no more than 5 minutes after the start at 8:00 a.m., and remain through the conclusion.
- Complete an online evaluation identifying at least one legislative priority you will advocate for and one way that you plan to connect with a lawmaker.
